Eastern Bearded Dragon is one of eight bearded dragons. It is easily distinguished by its beard which it displays especially when threatened. However, young beardies can look like Jacky dragons, but may be distinguised by lateral (side of the body) spines. For more information on dragons, please read the general note on Dragons.
Distribution: Eastern Bearded Dragon is common around Canberra but rarer in the Southern Monaro and NSW South Coast.
