Eastern Blue-tongue is one of eight blue-tongue species (Tiliqua) found in Australia and Indonesia. Tiliqua belong to the Egernia Group of skinks. Three species of blue-tongue are found in the Canberra region.
Eastern Blue-tongue in the Canberra region belongs to the sub-species T. s. scincoides.
Distribution: Common throughout tablelands and coast. Blotched Blue-tongues are found at higher elevations.
