Size: Grows to 18 cm, more commonly seen up to 10 cm.

 

Description: Dark stripe on head from eye to middle of pectoral fin base; series of dark chocolate-brown stripes along sides, olive above white below.

 

Habitat: Freshwater streams, lakes and lagoons.

 

Location: Coastal streams, sometimes close to brackish water.
