I'm not sure how to measure the size of an insect with very long legs and even longer antennae. Are there guidelines for what should be measured for size?

Why do you want to measure the size?

Because Canberra Nature Map wants to know "Animal size" :-)

Good point Kslaaus - in is mainly so that moderators can have some idea of the total size of the animal to assist in ID. You can put in public notes that measurement includes just main body or body and legs - will talk to moderators and see if they see value in putting together guidelines
