We've been watching this hollow for weeks and this is only the second time the nestling has been seen up high in the hollow . I was hopeful it might fledge last night as there was so much activity in and around the tree. At least 4 extra Gang gangs flew into the tree along with the parents. When the others flew to a nearby tree the dad flew a few laps around the tree . Dad fed a few times . Chick appeared briefly at the opening at 8:21 then the dad entered and after a few minutes mum also entered then both adults sat at the opening before dad left with mum settling in for night duty.
