What size was the flower? Microseris walteri flowers are much larger than those of Hypochaeris radicata (to 55 mm diameter as opposed to about 25 mm diameter). Hypochaeris lanceolata is now regarded as a subalpine to alpine species.
The two species are distinguished using photos by the leaves at the base of the plant, which are quite different.
