Just wondering why R. pimpinellifolius and not R. repens ? Compared with R. pimpinelliolius, the leaves are different (not pinnately divided, not pilose), the habit is different (stoloniferous rather than tufted) and the distribution marginal (R. pimpinellifolius described as boggy situations at higher ranges).

It is definitely not Ranunculus repens which has big coarse leaves 1.5-13 cm long that do not cling to the ground and look nothing like those in your photos. And flowers with petals 8-13 mm long that do not look like those in your photos.
