The forewing pattern shows a streaked pattern distinctly different from S. plana . Hindwing looks more orange than yellow i suspect. One other only record in ACT and region on CNM. This may be the first record for the ACT strictly speaking. There are no records on iNaturalist or the ALA for Canberra/ACT and Bold Systems 4 that I can see given it has a more northerly distribution in northern NSW and Queensland. Glenn Cocking would be able to confirm or otherwise whether there are set specimen records held by ANIC for Canberra or the ACT.
Yes, I have a couple of specimens from near the Murrumbidgee River a few years ago. Have also seen it flying beside the Monaro Hwy in the Royalla area in late Novemeber a few years ago, a few km far from the site of last year's report. I looked there just under two weeks ago without luck, possible too early.
