Much more interesting than a Slender Ringtail - this is an Inland Ringtail. I've seen them uncommonly but widespread across the ACT a few years ago, but didn't record any last season. Still trying to work out how this species works in our region. Will be interesting to see if they show up more widely again this year.

Just checked my records - all eleven sightings were in 2016-17 season, from 8 different widespread sites. All sightings were of 1-3 males except for one tandem pair at Hospital Creek, of all places. There's a very interesting story waiting to be sorted out here!

Wow - I walk around there regularly and will keep an eye out for a female.
