This Grey Currawong was walking from planting site to planting site to systematically investigate our laid out debris and decomposing layers of wood chips (rich in invertebrates).

we saw it at our Fridays @ the Fair session and I'm very confident that I correctly identified the species.

Very good. I saw the Grey Currawong a few times when I lived in Watson in the 1970's & 80's and used to go jogging on Mt Majura. Glad to see it is still up there.

My first observation of this species was at my place in Hackett. I very much enjoyed the observation of this one because of its inquisitive behaviour which I much enjoyed to observe and because it gave me the impression that somehow we do the right thing in providing habitat for woodland birds (ie layering debris to attract invertebrates).
