Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

12 May 2019

This is currently considered as a rare plant in the ACT, though CNM has shown that it is more abundant than thought and with a few more records will probably take off rare status

User's notes

Near the Murrumbidgee River upstream of Point Hut Crossing.

This newly found patch is threatened by encroaching of Rubus anglocandicans/Blackberry which might smother it if left to expand too much further.

Hi Michael M
Thanks for the attention to the Blackberries.
What I've found consistently is that this grass survives on low rocky islands in the Murrumbidgee River. I can't explore all of the river, and there is a large gap between what I've explored to the south of Point Hut & the north of Tharwa. I suspect that if anyone was able to explore the islands in the in between space they would find some more.
