A nice looking little fungus. With remnants of the universal veil on the cap (pileus) I suspect this might be an Amanita. Unfortunately with the base of the stem (stipe) missing it is difficult to ID, unless someone in the area is familiar with this particular species. Always try and keep the base in tact as it may have a cup (volva), swelling or even extend down into the soil like a root as these characteristics are important for identification. You've captured the other characteristics well in the photo.
