User's notes

Leaves up to 9cm wide. Pods 9cm by 1.5cm. At side of Long Gully Road. Probably garden escape.

I think it may be Judas Tree, Cercis siliquastrum, pods and leaf look like a good match and Cercis is a more common garden planting in Canberra than Bauhinia

Comparison with photos, including ALA, shows this as Cercis siliquastrum. Not in ACT Plant Census but collected from Black Mountain.
