There are several images labelled C. doubledayi on the ALA which. like this specimen lack the prominent yellow spots midway along the hind margin of the forewing. Also, the supporting CDs for this species (Moths of Victoria, Part 2) document the variability of the forewing wing pattern including many examples where the forewing yellow spots are absent altogether.
