If this was Zacorus carus I would expect to see the prominent forward and upward pointing palps of that species. Do you have a view from the side?

thanks, Z.carus was only a possibility on my part. I have uploaded a third photo.

It does have typical Oecphoridae labial palpi, and is one of the Philobota spp rather than Zacorus.

Sighting Concealer moth (Oecophoridae) Philobota physaula (A concealer moth) on 21 May 2018 was nearby, also in large numbers.

Looks similar to Philobota pilipes, although on Bold Systems 4 the palps seem more prominent for that species.

Do the sexes have palps of different sizes?
   24 Feb 2019
Sometimes, depending on the species, but I think most have similar sized palpi.

Do the males and females both have tufts on the tail in Philobota pilipes?

P. physaula has paler hindwings.

I'm sorry, I thought I'd confirmed this one, I agree with Don.
