2 Lasiocampidae caterpillars, one with its tail sitting on the head of the second?

No, Don, just a single caterpillar. I've just posted another photo (of mine so in a different submission; Richard and I were together) of the same individual at the same time. Unfortunately very similar to this (Richard's) photo - no lateral view.

Didn't see it feeding (or even moving, for that matter), just sitting quietly on leaf of young snow gum sappling.
