User's notes

Family of four gang gangs eating seeds of paulownia tree. Although it is early in the season, one looked like a juvenile male (photos 1 and 2) judging by colouration and clownish behaviour, another possibly a juvenile female (photos 2 and 4), based on white beak and behaviour. These two flew right up to me, as if used to being hand-fed. Two adults (one male, other female I think) stayed higher up in tree before calling the others to fly off.

Jacky the plant in the back ground is not Paulownia which has simple rather than compound leaves - It looks like Sophora japonica - can you remember what colour flowers it has and what the pods look like?

Thanks Michael Mulvaney
