Hi Betty Tony and orchid wizards
the naming of orchids can be a quite tricky thing, at least for me.
I'm currently on our annual update of Mts Ainslie/Majura Flora list and have the following 2 species: Stegostyla gracilis syn. Caladenia gracilis and Caladenia moschata. I wonder whether these are in fact one species?
See for instance: https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/403adae0-b314-4ea5-9d97-54900dc76f33

many thanks
Waltraud

Hi Waltraud
The short answer is that the current name is Caladenia moschata. It was at one stage Caladenia gracilis then became Stegostyla moschata and then Caladenia moschata when the split of the Caladenia genus was reversed.
