Author's notes

This is a composite sighting, photos from 11, 13 and 18 November (in date order). Pair nested successfully at this hollow last summer. Female can be seen in the evenings most days looking out from the hollow, and sometimes during the day. Occasionally the male is looking out from the hollow, and sometimes in the next tree chewing bark or preening when the female is in the hollow.
