Significant sighting

SuziBond noted:

6 Nov 2018

Third CNM record of this localised species. The preferred food plant of the larvae is the sheoak mistletoe. The 2003 fires took out so much River She Oak - the host of the mistletoe- that we almost lost this species of butterfly from the ACT - but it is now well on the way to recovery.

User's notes

Counted five of these butterflies, chasing each other and then perching, mostly high up in the trees on the eastern edge of the Murrumbidgee River between Pine Island and Point Hut.
