Four individuals seen along the Cotter. Knowing how bad I am at id-ing reptiles, perhaps I should have made this four separate sightings??

These specimens are the subspecies Gippsland Water Dragon (Intellagama lesueurii howittii), rather than the nominate subspecies Eastern Water Dragon (Intellagama l. leseuerii) which is not found in the Canberra region. I suggest either changing the common name for the species Intellagama lesueurii to Australian Water Dragon in the field guide or preferably replacing it with just the local subspecies Intellagama l. howittii.
