It is probably var. vaginata, but the diagnostics between var. vaginata and var. brevistigma rely on a number of measurements.

Based on some molecular work and morphological analyses the two varieties of what was Hypoxis vaginata have been transferred to the genus Pauridia. The other species in the ACT remain in Hypoxis. The reference is a paper by Snijman D.A. & Kocyan A. 'The genus Pauridia (Hypoxidaceae) amplified to include Hypoxis sect. Ianthe, Saniella and Spiloxene, with revised nomenclature and typification' published in Phytotaxa 116(1):19-33 ยท July 2013

Paurida vaginata is hairless while Hypoxis hygrometrica has some hairs
