Don't think its A. mearnsii because of advanced buds mearnsii flowers in December. Will check it out.

Maybe A. parramattensis but I thought the branchlets were softly hairy. According to 'Native Trees of the ACT' A. mearnsii flowers Oct-Dec before A. parrammattensis Dec-Feb but CNM has photos of buds on A. parramattensis in Jul. I don't have a photo of glands but will check next time I am over there.

I could not see any glands on the sample I brought home. There are several of those trees around maybe its a hybrid or garden escapee. i checked the A. mearnsii further down the track and there were no buds and the foliage is not as green. I don't think it;s either of them.

Bipinnate wattles in bud just now are baileyana, dealbata, decurrens, cardiophylla (some nearby). I think this is a dealbata x decurrens hybrid.
