Private property. No public access without permission. This was also entered as an eBird Record. Birds ate spitfire caterpillars and then had a relaxed preening session with full bellies!

GGs are well known to eat spitfire caterpillars. To my knowledge no other bird species would bother to go near them. Chris

Yes, they hung around for a few weeks just for the sawfly larvae. We don't normally have them here. Let's hope they like it better here once our allocasuarinas that we planted grow bigger and produce "fruit". Sandra
