Most probably Calvatia lilacina, as this species becomes lilac-brown as it matures with a dull lilac-brown spore mass. Photo mostly showing the well developed sterile basal section - photo illustrates this well. This group of 'puff-balls' erode from the top down releasing their spores. Their papery sterile base often remains for some time.
