Both Xanthorrhoea glauca and Xanthorrhoea australis occur in the area covered by CNM. A rule of thumb that often tells them apart is the length of the flower stalk - 0.65-1.4 m in glauca, under 0.6 m in australis. However, you really need someone to look carefully at the bracts surrounding the flowers to be sure.

The Census of Plants of the ACT (September 2017) states that only Xanthorrhoea glauca occurs in the ACT.
