User's notes

Was quite relaxed about me being nearby. Eventually it flew off and circled around overhead which was nice. The feathered legs made me wonder if it was a little eagle, but I am not sure.

Looks like a Black Kite, which is a relatively rare sighting in the ACT.

Thanks, that would explain why I don't think I've seen one before. I'll see if it still hanging around on Mt. Macdonald, next time I do the walk. :-) Just did a bit of reading up on them and they like plague locusts. There are a lot out around Tidbinbilla (my poor car) so it might be in town for the tucker.
