Thanks Ryu, this was a new species for me as well. Hopefully I've got the ID correct. Suzi will confirm. I have never seen a Macleay's Swallowtail so I'll have to visit the ANBG as soon as I can. What section did you see the butterfly and was it attracted to a particular flower?
A shrub with purple flowers (Just can't think of the name at the moment though I'm sure it's one I should know) across the asphalt track Southern edge of red centre garden. Didn't stay very still though and flew off quite soon.
