Very ordinary this year compared to last year both in numbers and condition of plants.

Yes there will be not much to observe this year in terms of Spring flowers / orchids. We were so lucky last year that so many eyes screened the mountain and found all those new (Spider) orchid populations! We know they are on the mountain even though they don't put out leaves and flowers this year.

Yes, I have found only a couple of leaves south of the Blue Metal Rd where there were hosts of flowers at this time last ear. But the Diplodiums seem to be fairly common north of the Rd this year if not flowering
