User's notes

Just wondering what it is that the Gang-gangs are feeding on? Local native or not? Reasonably large tree, maybe 15 metres tall. Kind regards, Roy.

Not a local native - but a favourite of the Gang Gang - I also see them feeding on this tree species at ANU and Hughes. They also eat sawfly larvae (spitfires), wattle seed, the insects living in galls, and the seed in exotic berries (hawthorns, cotoneaster, pistachio).

It was planted extensively in Canberra in the 1970s.
