Not sure or not whether Wattle Tick Scale occurs on Bursaria spinosa- but this is what it looks like

I found a good reference for Cryptes baccatus, but it only mentions Acacias as a host:

I think these may be eggs of some entirely different insect, perhaps a heteropteran bug. The apparent small size and the way they are all crammed together on a limited section of stem suggests this.
