This tree was almost bare of leaves, but the seed pods were high up and quite visible.

The park rangers have been advised; this tree will be destroyed and the seed pods removed.

I would have thought nettle tree Celtis australis is a bigger environmental threat. Anyway I will remove the gleditsia from around the O'Malley pond in the next week or two.
