To ID Brassicaceae, as well as flowers and leaves, you really need reasonably mature seed cases. Could you leave it a week or two till the seed cases are more mature? Then see whether they have a beak or not and what it looks like. Also whether there is a septum down the middle and if there is how complete, and whether there are one or two rows of seeds. Some genera break up into one-seeded strutures when fully mature. Most don't.

As Betty says, you need to wait for the seed cases. However, it ticks the other boxes.

If I had to guess, i'd say a variety of Raphanus sativus - aka cultivated radish

I revisited this area today, but I could not find the subject in a large open grassy park.

I agree with what Betty says however my guess would be Raphanus raphanistrum, Wild Radish said by an old farmer

I was just going by "Weeds of the South East" and you could be right.
