Need a second opinion on this. Flower is larger than I would expect for T. carnea (image 3), appears hooded which it shouldn't be and has hair tufts on the column arms which it shouldn't have. I suspect a hybrid with T. carnea as one of the parents.

Tony - did you see the comment that was posted with the record "Identified by Mark Clements as hybrids of T. megcalyptra x T. carnea". I would have had to establish a new name to post it was a hybrid which I was not qualified to do, so selected a parent.

No, I didn't see the comment, where is it? There's been the occasional hybrid reported for which there is not provision in the species list. I suppose I will have to do something about that!

The comment was as in quotation marks in my previous comment. It was in "Private notes" which I guessed you would be able to see, but perhaps you cannot. I am quite new to this site, so still on a learning curve. One of the images looks very megcalyptra, and the other is close to carnea. I have still to locate a pure carnea at the site, which presumably there is somewhere.

Thanks Tony - not sure what the story is about the notes, but I will be aware in future, except that was the last of the orchids that I had photos of. Autumn greenhood and Corunastylis to go, but they did not flower this year. Thanks for all your help.
