It looks vaguely familiar. Could you give me the approximate diameter of the flower and I will run it through my draft key.

The flowers look like Ludwigia, but the only known species in the area is montevidensis, which is prostrate, and lives in mud and water. The species in PlantNET most like your photo is Ludwigia peruviana (leaves like your photo and grows in mud), a noxious weed in NSW, but with a distribution well north and east of here. Someone with a collecting permit should pick it pronto and get it IDd properly in case it is the start of a serious infestation.

The location as on a hillside and not in what I would describe mud. Unfortunately, I doubt it is still in flower at present (still catching up on sightings from 2.5mo ago), and the location is non-descript so would be hard to locate
