Rather uncertain about this one, it doesn't quite look like what I recognize as Thamnolia vermicularis but I don't know what other genus to suggest.

I'd guess something akin to Spanish moss (genus Tillandsia), not of course a moss at all but a flowering plant, in the bromeliads if I remember correctly. A grey, stringy epiphyte.

Yes, Tillandsia usneoides is a good possibility, I had completely forgotten about those plants, exotics weren't on my mind when I suggested Thamnolia..
