I checked and it is Acacia decurrens there are a lot of seedlings emerging after the burn off two years ago.

Thanks Julie - was the burn cool or hot at this location, on Red Hill we had massive seedling emergence of Cootamundra Wattle after a hot "controlled" burn but don't seem to have had many seedlings emerging after less intensive cool burns
