Not Coprinus commatus. Could be a Cordyceps. See for example Cordyceps gunnii: http://www.cpbr.gov.au/fungi/images-captions/cordyceps-gunnii-0093.html (and for a photo with both the fungal fruiting body and the below-ground pupal/larval host see: http://www.cpbr.gov.au/fungi/images-captions/cordyceps-gunnii-0204.html).In Cordyceps fruiting bodies you see masses of small dots or pimple-like projections in the spore-bearing part of the stalk. Sometimes you have to look very close to see them but they are easy to see in this photo (http://www.cpbr.gov.au/fungi/images-captions/cordyceps-sp-0148.html). Those are moss leaves around the base of the stalk and here (http://www.cpbr.gov.au/fungi/images-captions/cordyceps-sp-0147.html) you see it with some others (all collected on Black Mountain).
