My previous comment disappeared. I said that I did not think it was Asperula conferta because the leaves did not have have a definite keel on the midrib. I think it is Asperula pusilla.

According to Plantnet, this species grows in alpine and subalpine areas. Is Farrer Ridge at 700m high enough to be considered as subalpine?

I have had another look at the detail of the photo. I could not see the short points on the leaves the first time round. On second look I have now seen them, though I still cannot see the keels on the midribs. On balance I think you are right.
