Apart from the very large wings on the flower (the pair in front of the upright petal), this looks like Glycine clandestina.

Hi Betty, could it be G. tabacina because the centre leaf petiole is longer than the other two and the veins on the leaves are reasonably pronounced? It is hard to see this feature on these shots. The flower colour is more like G. clandestina, with the greenish centre. What do you think?

Thanks Kris. I must admit I made the first suggestion without having a proper look at Plantnet. My initial impression was that it was Glycine microphylla, which I thought only occurs much farther east than this. When I checked out properly, that is what it turned out to be, the photo of G. microphylla in the Plantnet article also has the very large wings, which is not mentioned in the description. The Atlas of Living Australia map slows G. microphylla as coming this far west. The only caveat is that the photos appear to show the flower groups as 3 rather than a minimum of 5. This is minor. It fits the Plantnet description perfectly otherwise.

Thanks Betty, I am not overly familiar with G. microphylla but I will now keep an open eye/mind out for it.

This is only the second sighting in/near the ACT, according to the Atlas of Living Australia. That might be because people were not expecting to see it. I certainly wasn't.
