I still think it might be a new species. I regret my suggestion that it might be G. sp. Pale Pink Flowers, which keyed in Flora of Vic reasonably OK. However, even as I pushed Post Comment I noticed that the mucros on the sepals appeared to be far longer than 0.5 mm long, also that the total length of peduncle plus pedicel ws a maximum of 5.3 cm long, much shorter than in these plants.
Just from a quick look I'd say this might be potentilloides, because of the short dense hairs on the stems/pedicels, plus the high altitude occurrence.
Until Jackie pointed it out, I had not noticed that this plant has short, curved, somewhat appressed hairs on the flower stalk, and the other one long hairs.
