David Nicholl's excellent web site "ferns of the Canberra Region" http://www.home.aone.net.au/~byzantium/ferns/ Records a 1998 observation of this fern also at the Molonglo Gorge. There is also a 1999 record from the Bullen Range, a 1962 record from Black Mountain, some 1950s records from Molonglo Gorge and a 1940 record from Gigerline. So Molonglo Gorge is probably a local hotspot for this regionally uncommon fern

User's notes

On rock crevasse on west facing boulder under Bull Oaks, on cliff on north-east bank of Molonglo River, below Molonglo Gorge

Pleurosorus rutifolius, but the only way to tell if it is ssp. subglandulosis is to look with a strong hand lens at the tips of the hairs. If they have small 'lumps' at the tips, it is the subspecies. The photo isn't quite clear enough but I suspect it might be the ssp.

Btw. the ssp full name should have the 'rutifoilus' ahead of the ssp.
