Yes starting to see more of this species and other Cenchrus too. Maybe due to changing rainfall patterns - dry winter-spring - warm spring-hot summer and thunderstorms?

Decided to dig out and collect seed. Follow-up spot spraying will be needed at end of summer or next summer. About 50 plants and they were starting to spread up the street so good timing with the observation.

Feel rather guilty about this - saw something white growing there a year or so ago. I was in a hurry and didn't stop to look.
