This species is listed as nationally endangered.

Author's notes

Plants are prostrate and mat-forming if growing in open ground, but if under taller shrubs they can straggle up through them to a metre or so high. Grows in Allocasuarina nana montane heath, apparently preferring areas where fire has created bare ground, although track verges will do at a pinch.
