Author's notes

Very large flower (about 2-3cm long), with a gap between the "hood' and the "ears" when viewed from the side, and growing in a wet area with sphagnum in a drainage line thru forest. Pretty sure it has to be this species, due to the flower size and wet habitat.

Yes, it is the largest in the genus and likes wet habitats.
