Thanks Walter. Pyracantha anguvstifolia is the only firethorn with hairs on (the underside of ) its leaves. In the 1970s firethorns and cotoneasters, both plants from the Yunnan provence of China, formed large thickets within most of Canberra's nature parks. The removal of many hundreds of thousands of these plants from our bushland is a magnificent testament to the partnership between Parkcares and the Parks and Conservation staff and contractors. I trust this one gets the chop as well.
Cheers Michael
